West Cornwall Trail Series

Updated: Mar 19, 2021

Introducing West Cornwall's premier Trail Series!! Designed as a "Race when you can be bothered" style event, this series of routes includes some of the gems of West Cornwall trail running, possibly...

Following on from the CR&P Skyline comes more routes around various locations in West Cornwall. A new route will be released every few weeks whilst we begin to emerge from lockdown, with the emphasis on keeping it local!

Each route will be added to the page as it is released and leader boards for each route updated, as well as an overall leader board! The overall winner will earn bragging rights (and prizes if we can source some!)

(Whilst the CR&P Skyline is one of the routes included, the competition and spot prizes for that will run separately.)

Please submit all your results to benj_j2000@gmail.com with your strava link, or other sports tracker, and the name of the route. Feel free to send photos if you wish!

Hells Teeth!

The next route will be "Hells Teeth!" A beaut of a route starting at Bassett Cove and hitting the hilly bits along the coast before heading inland, through Portreath, up through Illogan Woods, Tehidy Woods and then back to the coast. Its short but hilly!

The route starts at the National Trust Bassett Cove sign and follows the route in a clockwise direction.

Bassett and Beyond!

This route brings the best of both, with one of West Cornwalls best known woodlands and scenic Coastal routes.

Bassett and Beyond starts at Tehidy woods and takes you to North Cliffs via Bassett Cove. Following the coast path all the way to the Trig Point at the Knavocks, it then returns along the same route to the finish back at Tehidy Woods.

The start and finish point is the Tehidy Woods East Lodge information board located in the car park at the start of the trail. Follow the trail along the route provided (also with signs to North Cliffs).
